Basic DBS checks are available directly to applicants (not employers) online via the Government website. Their system is very easy to follow and the total fee is currently £23.00.
To apply for a basic DBS check you will need:
- all your addresses for the last 5 years and the dates you lived there
- your National Insurance number
- your passport
- your driving licence
SAFEcic do not offer to process Basic DBS checks because we would then have to charge an additional fee to cover our administration costs.
If you are looking for a "Responsible Organisation" to manage your staff's Basic DBS checks, you can find one through the government website.
