Standard Child Safeguarding (Formerly Child Protection) Course for Dental Staff
All SAFE's online child protection and adult safeguarding courses are highly interactive with quizzes and multimedia content. This course is essential for all those in the field of dentistry who work directly with children, young people or their families. Compliant with the latest legislation, government guidance and with direct links to your local Safeguarding Children Board , this course covers everything workers need to know about what might concern them, how to respond to concerns appropriately and consider safer working practice. The course meets the criteria of level two as described in the Intercollegiate Safeguarding Children & Young People: roles and competencies for health care staff 2014 and the training requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and General Dental Council (GDC).

This course meets the educational criteria required for verifiable Continuing Professional Development under the General Dental Council Lifelong Learning Scheme and represents 3 hours of verifiable CPD.
A certificate will be provided upon successful completion of SAFE online training courses. Certificates can be downloaded and printed at any time and remain valid for two years.
